Are You Managing Your Stress?
 

More and more persons world-wide are suffering from stress each year.  The subject of stress is still taboo in many societies and some persons refuse to seek helpt, or to be categorised as being 'stressed'.

 

What is Stress and Why manage Stress?

Stephen Palmer and Cary Cooper in 'How to Deal with Stress', describe Stress this way, "Stress occurs when pressure exceeds your perceived ability to cope."  But generally, Stress means different things to different persons, and if not managed, long-term effects can include severe health and immune system problems.

Stress Advice Clinics

 

In these one-to-one sessions, virtual or in person, the following will be explored:

  • Stress - Signs & Symptoms, Causes & Relaxation Techniques

  • Stress at work (optional)

  • Your Lifestyle

  • Healthy Thinking

  • Assertiveness

  • Support Network

 

Each client is given one (1) Relaxation CD as well as a 'take home' package each week, which will allow him/her to work through a stressful situation (s) at his/her own pace.  These sessions are useful in helping persons regain control of their life.

Stress Coaching
 

What it is:

 

Stress Coaching explores Health and Safety standards in the workplace and whether the lack of or failure to effectively follow these standards is behind much of the existing workplace stress .  We also address general signs and symptoms of stress, signs and symptoms of organisational stress, how to cope, and stress resources.

 

We use a cognitive approach which looks at the coachee(s)'s thinking and

how this can be enhanced.   Methods of relaxation are also explored. 

 

Who can benefit:

- Primarily geared to organisations, managers and team leaders.

Indivduals and groups can also benefit.

Lifestyle Changes
 

Looks at the following:

  • Diet

  • Exercise

  • Sleep

  • Social Network

  • Time Management

 

The client attends sessions to work through any/all of the above.  It has been found that at

least one or all of these areas can be stressor, however once measures are put in place to

cope, the stress effect lessens or is alleviated.

 

Who will benefit?

Anyone who is negatively affected in any of the areas or who wants to experience some improvement, can attend.

Stress Awareness Workshops (SAW)/Relaxation Workshops/Presentations

 

Workshops:

We currentlly run a one-hour Stress Awareness Workshop for groups of 12 persons.

 

The workshops will look at the following:

  • What is Stress?

  • Signs snd Symptoms of Stress

  • How to Cope with Stress

  • Stress Resources

 

Cost:

$100 Bds. per individual.

 

Presentations:

Perhaps you might enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere to learn more about:

  • Stress and how to cope better

  • Why Relaxation is important

  • Performance Coaching (what it's all about)

  • How our thinking affects us emotionally (a spiritual point of view)

 

We can host presentations at our location for small groups, or we can visit your location.  A small fee ($5 Bds.) per person might/might not be charged, to help offset facilitating these events.
