
Hi, my name is Pam McDonald. I am a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Wellness with a focus on complementary and alternative medicine.
I have been interested in health and wellness for most of my life. I grew up taking Shaklee nutritional products and learned the importance of eating a healthy diet and exercise. This led to my own successful Shaklee business and I have passed on my values of a healthy lifestyle to my husband and three great children. My goals as a health coach are to empower people to take responsibility for their own health instead of waiting for health challenges to occur.
My other interest include spending time with my family and friends, I am an avid reader, I enjoy a wide variety of fitness classes, walking around the lakes, golf, travel and eating at new restaurants with my husband and daughter.
I also received my 200 RYT certification as a yoga instructor through the U of M. This degree is a good fit with my philosophy of practicing preventative health care which encompasses mental, spiritual and physical health, and am currently working toward an Integrative Nutrition certificate

MEET ALLIE
My name is Allie McDonald. I received my Masters Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama, completed my dietetic internship through St. Louis University, and finished my undergraduate degree from the College of Saint Benedict. I am currently working as the clinical dietitian at a nursing home in Minneapolis, but have experience in corporate wellness and community nutrition as well.
My mom is the one who initially piqued my interest in health and wellness as she has emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle since I was very young. It was not until I was completing nutrition courses through St. Ben’s that I knew I wanted to become a dietitian. While I currently am doing more clinical work, I am excited to expand into all areas of health and wellness.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, exercising, trying out new restaurants, and being outdoors. I am a first time “blogger” and excited to work with my mom and share our passion for health, wellness, and Shaklee. As the saying goes, ‘Mother knows best’, but I have some ideas of my own
