HOW IT ALL STARTED

When Sr. Miguel Salom opened his first shop, NautiPesca in the La Lonja area of Palma in 1971 he was already a pioneer as he was the first to open a fisherman’s supply shop in the city. When, after several successful years, Sr. Salom retired he left the business to his two sons, Tony and Tolo. Tony was ambitious to develop the company and he was soon out from behind the counter of the shop and launching the maintenance department of the business. In 1995 Tony went into partnership with Juan Liebona, a very experienced ship’s painter, and NautiPaints was born. Their combined experience of product knowledge and application meant that NautiPaints very quickly became one of the leading companies specialising in painting.

(And what of Sr Salom, and Tolo? They are both still going strong and share a passionate interest in the business).
