KENNETH TAN (Drums & Percussion) Kenneth Tan- Drummer like no other! - Highly creative in his expression he prides himself for 'playing different styles of music to perfection. He is one who lives up to the standard of being a musically and yet techinical performer at the same time. Picking up the instrument at the age of 15, drumming has always been a passion that never fades over the years.
His musical influences include bands and artists such as Paramore, The Aristocrats, Beyonce, Stevie wonder and Jamiroquai. His high profile work experience includes performing prestigious live music events and festivals such as the 2014 Singjazz festival for original works by celebrity artists Joy tang, Xanthus Ching and Karen Denise, the 2013 Mosiac festival with Youtube sensations Hariz and Lincoln, and was a Finalist in Stardust 2010 with Steph Micayleyou.

MELVIN PAUL MARTIN (Drums & Percussion)Melvin Paul has been drumming since his childhood. Honing his chops initially as a church musician initially and as a percussionist during his youth with his school band, Melvin went on to play parties and events throughout entertainment venues in Singapore, before pursuing his Music education at Lasalle College of the Arts Singapore.
Melvin swears he eats, sleeps and breathes music. As a teacher, Melvin is known for his patience and understanding nature. He paces each lesson to the individual as he imparts his technical knowledge to all in his class more. Come drum up a storm with Melvin here at TMR!

true lover of popular music, Liz Brings each song to life with her quick right hand and tasty keyboard presence, Liz knows the complexities of the life of a modern keyboard player.
From classical to Trance and Hard Rock, Liz is truly a multi talented keyboardist with skills decades ahead of her age (which she totally refuses to allow us to mention here). Here’s a player that can deliver almost any thing in any style to rock almost any crowd. The lady plays those multiple stacked keyboards with the strong musical dexterity of a 40 yr old veteran musician, then giggles like a 4 year old.
BRYAN LIM ( Drums & Percussion, Owner of Lush Entertainment Singapore)After playing his first bar gig at the age of 15, Bryan Lim has never looked back since. Despite his young age, he has performed at various International Music Platforms such as the Mosaic International Festival (Singapore), South East Jazz Festival (Singapore), World Music Contest (Amsterdam), Asean Jazz Festival (Indonesia), Jazz by the Beach (Singapore), Chijazz (Singapore), Youth Oylmpics Game (Singapore), Funk and Jazz Festival(Bangkok) and many more. He also had the honour to play alongside with top session players and celebrities from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and United States
JILL HWANG (Vocals - Electro-voice Endorsee)Trained in SLS singing, Jill is also an endorsed artiste of Electro-voice (energy professional band in Singapore known as FunBOSCH) at present. She claims she’s always wanted to be in a Singer in a high energy band that not just plays together but moves together, and now plays in a 6 piece high house.
Jill says -”I see so many female vocalists in performance these days who just look really pretty and sing really well. I realise sadly though that a good voice and good looks alone do nothing to keep a crowd jumping and partying all night long. Audiences need more. They need a connection with their entertainers. I prefer to engage my audience and use my stage energy as a catalyst to pack my dance floor. It builds a brand for myself, my band and my performance as a whole.” Jill is a serious singer and takes every show or lesson very seriously. Her practical approach to Singing makes her lessons easy to understand and her concepts easy to apply for virtually anyone looking to Sing.
A NIMAL DE SILVA (-Guitar ) A student of the Late Singapore Guitar Legend & Ritchie Blackmore of Singapore- Guy Nonis, Nimal’s playing is testimony to his background. A true artist and visionary who seeks creative solutions to the technical difficulties faced by his guitar students. Nimal has creative solutions for everything and truly views his music as a way of life. His students love him for his great charisma and honesty in opinion. His extensive experience and skill in composition and the teaching of composition has earned him a name in the industry. He also conducts live team-building programmes for offices of several Multi-National Corporations and is known to be a person who is truly not afraid to create.
SHERMAN ANTHONEY (Session Artist, Electro-voice Endorsee)Known in the Industry as KingSherman -The Electro-voice(BOSCH) endorsed artist has been making music since he was 8 years old, and is known in the performance and teaching industry as a multi-instrumentalist. He sings, hosts, and plays a stunning array of instruments; piano, guitar, bass, drums, the Cajon, trumpet, trombone to name a few. His overseas experience includes working clubs, concerts and gigs in and throughout countries like America (Session Vocals, guitar, drums, etc), Australia (DJ and Production), Malaysia (Percussion with Singapore’s No.1 Celebrity Acoustic Band Cats in the Cradle), and Indonesia and more. Sherman is also the World’s First Singapore Grown Duelling Pianist brewing his piano abilities at Howl at The Moon Singapore. As a team player, Sherman has played with the likes of Top Dawg, The Jackson Twinz and the Way Kool band, Nicole Duffel, Shawn Letts, the Late Jazz Legend Paul Ponnudorai, Tony Thomson (Earth Wind and Fire fame), Casey Subramaniam, and Cats in the Cradle when he opened for Australian rockstar - Jimmy Barnes, with Leandra Lane from Singapore Idol, Ann Hussein and more.
Though Sherman continues to this day to work with celebrity artists from all over the world in performance - he also brings to the table over 15 years of performance experience and 6 years of Music Instruction experience for various Music Schools, Music Academies, and Music Education Companies, Sherman is a strong believer of his motto “Anyone can Play” - and holds true to it to this day. Here at themusicroom.asia, Sherman specializes in Pop Piano and keyboards, Guitar, Ukulele, and Drums and Percussion. He has nurtured, inspired over 10,000 students & trained students from absolute beginner to professional level. Sherman enjoys teaching and shares a sincere passion for educating and grooming musicians. His performance based personality makes every lesson highly energetic, interactive, & entertaining gripping each student’s attention like a show starter, and using entertainment based techniques to develop fast effective rapport with each student in every class.
PAUL HO ( Keyboards, Professional Band Leader of Current Resident Band At Club Saigon, Clarke Quay- Singapore)Paul Ho, a versatile and passionate Piano, Guitar and Ukulele teacher and player. Paul, the multi instrumentalist started his musical journey at the age of 6. He has been performing since 19 and has worked his way to became a brand name band leader in Singapore’s entertainment and music education Industries. He has performed at Major venues such as Singapore’s premier concert venue- The Esplanade, The Singapore Art house, Raffles Country club, and Temasek Country Club, to name a few. As a music teacher, Paul ho’s music student record boasts a 100% distinction rate at ABRSM exams and Paul’s passion for playing the piano is the foundation of dedication for teaching music and imparting his musical knowledge to others around him. Showing students the wonders and endless tonal limitations of the piano, keyboards and guitar is what truly drives this talented musician. As a music teacher, Paul strives to impart creative thinking values in his everyday lessons, always listening to his student’s worries and difficulties, and solving them at a pace tailored to each individual.
